Holiday Gift Guide – New York

The Bluetooth SIG hosted its 6th Annual Holiday Gift Guide Event in New York at Tavern on the Green on June 11, 2008. The show was a success with 20 member companies showing their latest products.

Participating companies included Nokia, Motorola, Plantronics, Logitech, Sound ID, Goldlantern, Polaroid, SDI Technologies, GN Netcom, LG, Honda, Parrot, TomTom, Vroop, Blueant, Qwikker, Samsung, jWIN, Ford, Phone Labs.

Both LG and Motorola launched new products from the show, with LG announcing the LG Dare VX 9700, the LG Decoy, and the LG Chocolate 3 and Motorola announcing two new Bluetooth headsets, the Moto H620 (an in-car headset) and the Moto H560. A couple cool products on display included the Polaroid printer which uses no ink and is pocket-sized and the Vroop Liveboard. The Decoy and Polaroid printer will also be featured in the July issue of SIGnature.

About 50 media, including ABC News, CNet, Consumer Reports, Forbes, New York Times, Newsweek, PC Magazine, Switched.com, and Women’s Health, attended to see member companies and their products for gift guides set to run this upcoming holiday season.
